Sony Walkman was still 'in' in the 90s - I used to listen Bach (played by Gould) on a Sony Walkman while cycling ('crashes' with other bikers was always avoideded because... they had no Walkman themselves and could concentrate on biking :-) ).

I too remember my first Walkman - the advertising said something like "Live your life to a soundtrack" and it really felt like that too!

At the time it was the height of sophistication and miniaturisation - we couldn't have even imagined the mP3 player in those days, it was enough that we had music on the move :-)

Oh, what do I listen to? I have a very mixed musictaste.
I listen to everything from rock, pop, soul, rap, indie, alternative.
Some electronica is ok but as you I'm not a big fan of it.
There's a few electronica bands that I like though.
Whitesnake I've never listened to. I'm sure I've heard song of theirs but I can't name any.

Hi, what else do u listen to? I've downloaded a bit of Whitesnake as well. Used to listen to them when I was a kid, but never really listened to them then, if you know what I mean! I don't listen to Electronica though I think the French duo Air are Emperors in this genre.

With Doves, I think you have to get used to their style of music before you begin to appreciate the spark in them. It's like smoking. You have to learn to smoke before you get addicted. ( I'm an ex-smoker and I strongly discourage smoking!!)
In the end, like you said, each to their own.

I like Keane, but never really liked Doves. I'm more of a Metal head/ rock chick myself!!! I listen to a lot of Iron Maiden and classic rock! Each to their own I suppose! Enjoy the weekend!

Thanks. I have about 40 videos on youtube now I think. Some of the earlier ones are a bit dubious, but I think I've improved recently.

Yes, food is expensive. I did dine out once, then shifted to the Big Mac. There's this outlet at the end of town square that makes absolutely delicious food. I just loved the beef sandwiches there.

BTW, you play terrific guitar. It's serene, calm and catchy. I did check out your song a few days back on youtube.

I share your view of Helsinki, I went there myself some years ago and loved the place. I did find it expensive though. Eating or drinking out are outrageous.
